Question:
I have a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor. Lately, the heat does not come on at all.

About 2 or three weeks ago I flushed the coolant using Prestone coolant flusher, and distilled water...

It may be the thermostat. (In fact, I would replace that before anything else. If the therm is stuck in the open position, your coolant will never heat up, and that's what your engine uses to heat the interior of your car. (Hot coolant passing through the heater core....air from outside is pulled in over this "Mini radiator" which heats up the air, blah blah blah.Peugeot 106 S Reg Central Locking problems?
Another, more interesting thought is that your heater core is completely and utterly clogged, I've seen this before once or twice, especially in systems that do not force all coolant to move through the heater core (Meaning that the heater core is like a...tributary of the main coolant lines as opposed to an integral part of the coolant system) This is most common on cars with dual climate zones, etc. (Like your Crown vic, no doubt)

However, as with all car repars replace the cheapest thing first. Thermostat. THEN heater core (Which is not only a pain in the butt to replace, but it costs an arm and a leg, and a neck and a thigh and a breast...Ooh! Chicken for dinner tonight!)
