The type of transmission generally has nothing to do with the function of the tach as it is used soley for measuring engine rpm's not speed. call a nissan dealer and ask about the price and part number for one with a stick and do the same inquiry about one with an automatic. if the part number is the same you're good to go

Tachometers usually run off of the distributor... so it shouldn't matter what tranny you have.
