Question:
I have a 95 Ford Explorer. The Overdrive light keeps blinking on and off. (The transmission was replaced about 7 years ago). When driving, the car shudders every few minutes. Replacing the transmission is very expensive. Is there a quick fix to this problem? How long can I drive the SUV like this? Is it safe?

Replacedintake manifold antifreeze in sparkplug hole.car is missfiring?
The first thing to check would be your ATF (automatic transmission fluid) the light blinking can indicate low fluid (this is common with the abs light as well- indicating low brake fluid)
Often topping off your fluids & setting tire pressure can make a big difference in the drivability of your car.
Can anyone tell me if i can fit a second hand distributer to a rover 623 honda engine?
if possible just turn off the overdrive until you can get it repaired..i have a car with the reverse not working at all and i have still been driving it for 4 years this way. did you get a warranty when it was repaired last time ? if not be sure to have it done this time with a company that is willing to give a lifetime warranty like aamcoCan a lincoln ls 2005 be jumped from the front?
No way to know how cheap/easy the fix is until it's evaluated. Could be some electrical sensor that can be replaced without removing the tranny from the SUV. If so, it could be a $100 fix.Can you use a dual plane intake for mpfi or do you have to use a singleplane?
If it's mechanical issues, and the tranny has to be pulled... well, you know how much that can cost. :)
How to take off a steering wheel on a 1996 Toyota Corolla?
If you don't drive much on the highway, don't use overdrive for now. Get it scanned at a good tranny shop, or if you must a dealer.
It takes time to start my engine?
look on your transmission where all the wires plug into it, pull the plug out and that should disable the overdrive, you can drive it that way you just won't have overdrive, I drove a car that way for 3 yrs before reverse went out of the tranny.More Questions & Answers ...
