I have RAV4 2.0 gx manual, 1998. alarm seems to have gone out of sequence sounds when starting engine?

key fob stopped working but don't think its battery. you turn off engine get out and off goes the alarm ? is there a way to reset it ?

replace the battery in the key fob or use the spare , then disconnect the car battery for 10 mins make sure you have the radio code if it has one as your radio will be turned off
