Question:
I took it off, put on the spare and aired it back up and it holds air fine now. I want to put a tube in it to keep it from happening again but all tire stores tell me they don't do that anymore. they say the rim is probably bent, but it is not. why won't they put a tube in it for me? is it dangerous?

Tires now are manufactured so as not to need tubes. It is pointless to put one in. It wont help a tire fall off the rim in any way. I recommend taking the tire and rim to a credible tire shop(national name) and have them just check the rim and tire. Sounds like you had to have either hit something or drove the tire flat. Either can ruin both tire and rim. If you so desire the shop could put some bead sealer, which is a rubber like liquid compound that is used to repair small damage to bead areas. It can leave an ugly stain to the rim as it presses out around the bead, but it will serve your purpose. I know wal mart uses that product.why has the fuel economy on my van dropped all of a sudden?

Car tires do not use tubes any more because they don't hold up to the max speeds new tires are made to travel at. tubes also don't last as long as a tubeless tire would, your better off without one if they were the best thing for your car it would have tubes when its new. Also you might have lost your bead because your tire was under inflated or the tire was not rated for the weight of your car.Part location and labor time to replace egr valve on 95 gmc S15 Jimmy, 6cyl?
Slipped off probably due to low tire pressure as the pressure drops with the temperature. No they do not put tubes in tubeless tires because of the tire design, the tire may be damaged or run too hot and blow out. No one wants the liability. For safety sake have the rim checked at a rim shop as it may leak air or otherwise be unsafe. Is This The RIGHT Way To Do An Oil Change?
Your tire may have lost some pressure from the cold, when you drove it with low pressure it rolled off the bead. Need to get the bead away from the rim and apply bead sealer and maby a new valve stem cuz that may have been the source of the leak in the first place. Get some soap and water in a spray bottle (Windex works well) and spray it around the rim and the stem, if there is a leak it will bubble up right away.compressed gas duster for car cd player?
no tubes are not dangerous. on the farm we put them in tractor tires that were worn to extend the life of the tire. it is just not a practice garages do. they are mor about trying to soak you for new tires. to check the tire for leaks put it in (inside a garage)a tub of water. if you see bubble sthe tire has a leak. be sure to rotate the tire so all of it gets submerged in the water. also pay close attention around the bead and vale stem. i f you cant do the water thing get a bottle of soapy water and spray the tire and bead and valve stem checking for bubbles. if you see bubbles in the tire you can get a tire plugging kit from walmart .easy to use ive done tons and they are perfectly safe to use.if the valve is leaking as long as it is the center and not the rubber part you can get a new core for it as well as the tool to change it at walmart. these too are easy to change ive done alot of tehse too.if it is the valve stem you can get them at a parts store or perhapa walmart, to change take tire off bead and use cutting pliers to remove old stem. insert new end. put rubber cement on it too.Tubes have gone the way of the dinosaur. Check your valve stem. If the tire holds air and the rim is not bent That could be it.
