whinch wont release on fourman fourwheeler?

Just wondering if anyone can advise on what could be the reason behind a slowish A Class and over consuming?

It seems like when i accelerate the car doesnt pick the right speed and take a few seconds before reaching a momentum.
Also it is consuming a lot of petrol??

Hi there its impossible to really diagnose the problem without taking it to a dealer as the electronics on the car are incredibly complex the dealer will perform a short test using the special merc software DAS which will then tell you what the fault is, if the vehicle is under warrenty the bill wont be that big depending upon the fault of course

hi i agree with waht matey boy is saying. i deal with these cars day in day out and from y experience with the a-class if it is sluggish then usrually its the air-mass meter. this measure the amount of air going into the engine and then sends signal to ECU (Engine Control Unit) and this the decides how much fuel is needed to be mixed with the air....anyway if the air reading is not correct the ECU could be either putting too much fuel in or too little. on the A-class the air-mass is built into the ECU and to by new from mercedes its about £750. there are some place which can repair ur air-mass/ECU but sometimes this doesnt work......
