I have a 1990 Mercedes 300se My heater wont come on?

Question:
When I turn on my Heater I get cold air Sometimes when the car is in reverse or park hot air comes out what can I do to get it woking correct? Thank You in advance

The mechanism that controls the heat baffle door is defective. If vacuum operated maybe the diaphragm is ruptured. Just need to figure what controls it and see if it is defective.
