Question:
I have had to have a tie rod replaced twice because of wear due to lack of greasing - says my mechanic.
Can I reach what needs to be greased with the car on the floor of the garage and me under it? or does it need to be lifted up?
Answers:
how much does it cost to clean fuel injectors on a 1988 ford bronco II?
Yes, get a flexible hose grease gun at an auto parts store, turn the wheel full left and grease the tie rod and the upper and lower ball joint as well then do the full right and do the same, if its rack-n-pinion that will likely all you will need to do. If its rear wheel drive then the drive shaft will need grease as well. Another way is go to a Lube and Oil shop and ask for these things to be greased when you have the oil changed and don't forget the rear axle gears as well, Good Luck and GOD Bless,Jackie
u will look for grease fittings, they are usualy at each joing taht can be lubricated, it usually has to be done on a lift, teh fitting looks like a small call hsape, a grease gun or similar goes over it and forces grease in with a vall bearing that moves out of teh way during fill and moves back to seal in the grease, if you go to an auto place taht changes your oil, they lube allthe possibel joints, just use them every so often and u wont have to do it yourself
