Customer Concern: Trouble code P0410.Tests/Procedures: 1. Remove the air hose on the Air Injection Reaction (AIR) pump and on the vent solenoid. Inspect the pump and solenoid for water.

2. If there is evidence of water in the pump and/or solenoid, replace the AIR pump and install a new inlet hose and solenoid tube assembly, as called for in TSB #04-06-04-015.
3. If there is no evidence of water in the pump, solenoid or hoses, use a scan tool to command the AIR pump on. If the pump is noisy, replace it.

4. If the pump will not come on when commanded, check the AIR pump fuse and relay located in the AIR pump fuse block in the fender behind the battery.
the A.I.R. system is the air injection reaction system, don't let the name full you, it has nothing to do w/ ur intake. it is a small compressor that adds air to the exhaust to help the catalyst change harmful gasses. it does not run all the time, mainly while cruising or part throttle. it will only effect your emissions so fix it before you get tested. it needs a fluctuation from lean to rich to work properly and it is normally located near the bottom of the headers in most vehicles. it may be difficult to replace on the 4.3 but i have never done one on a Chevy.
