Trailer hitch....?

Question:
Can unbolt the whole trailer hitch from the frame of my jeep wrangler and bolt it onto my girlfriend's nissan pathfinder? Are they interchangable? and if so, how easy is it to wire the lights?

Your Jeep hitch will not bolt up to the Nissan. You will have to modify the mounting on both the hitch and Nissan to make it fit. Unless you have cutting torch's and a welder, I would not recommend this or wasting your time.

they can probbly be switched out but u may need to drilles new holes so u can make it fit. as for the lights. just buy the right wiring harness and they shouldent be any trouble

Question about transmission interchangability on Ford automatics-?

If your jeep is using an universal hitch then it can be adjusted to fit other vehicles. Otherwise it wont fit without some type of modification, at the best.

The lights is pretty easy if you buy the adapter for that particular vehicle at your local parts store.

I wouldn't. It's only a couple hundred dollars to have one professionally installed. And think about the consequences if it is not properly installed. I had a trailer come loose from the truck, once. Man, what a ride. You can also easily screw up the wiring on her car trying to wire a trailer harness. Call around and get a couple of estimates. U-Haul installs hitches, and so do most places that sell trailers or RV's.

Go to hitch finder.com and look up both vehicles they will show you size and dimensions to let you know if it is even close.They also have the trailer wiring harness that just plugs into the vehicles harness
