2000 ford ranger electrical problems!?

The Ford Aerostars with the 3.0 liter engines had problems with the torque converters shredding and circulating little bits of metal all through the tranny, quickly destroying it. We had these where I used to work as a fleet manager and it was very frustrating.

What the problem was?

You may find a used on in a junkyard but be sure and bring that one to a good transmission shop to have at least a new torque converter installed to prevent this from happening. At best, have it completely rebuilt which should run about $1500 installed.
