You have a tile floor in your car? And a kitchen, too? These SUV's nowdays are really getting out of hand. Ok, Seriously though. You did post this in the car section. Now to answer your question. If you regrout any section, you must first remove all (or the vast majority of) the old grout. Once you do this and then pack in new grout, it will stay. The new grout doesn't have enough to hold onto if you just put it on top of the old grout. Try going to your local home center (Home Depot or Lowes) and the people there will be glad to show you how it is done and the tools you need. Good luck!Do your best to remove the old grout. No need to remove it all, just enough to allow the new grout a place to hold onto.

How many miles to the gallon do you get out of your kitchen floor? Then why are you asking in Cars & Transportation > Maintenance & Repairs?Need to remove scratches(swirls, webs) from paint!?
what you need is some white cement --- most cement as you think of it is gray ___ and you need to dig out a small part of the grout without making any damage to the tiles ...the porpose is to have a better grip to the new cement // grout --- do not walk on that area or mop that spot for a few days to allow for a good drying and then you need to use a sealer on the grout to ward off water mopping to eat away at the small repair in your floor... go to a tile store for all the stuff and advice to mix and seal .....More Questions & Answers ...
