Does installing a aftermarket exhaust system void the warranty on my car?

I worked at a dealership. It will not void your warranty. The only way any add on part will void your warranty is if they can relate to problem back to the aftermarket part. For example, if you put on the aftermarket exhaust system and your horn stopped working, they would replace the horn because it had nothing to do with the exhaust. In my opinion, I would not worry about the exhaust effecting your warranty. As mentioned above, the only thing it will void is the exhaust system warranty.

My 95 honda prelude is having a hard time shifting into gear this morning?

breaks feel very tight, temp is about 10 deg., could they be frozen and can I drive it? 911I'm on a road tr

No it will only void problems associated with the exhaust system. Dealerships have a way of making you thinking what you did wrong always caused the problem, if you were to run into one.

What happened?

Yes installing any aftermarket parts will void your warranty even the stupidest little stuff unless you keep the old exhaust and put it on everytime you take it in

What would make the motor of a 2003 toyota tocoma surge when it is at an idle?

yep

I cant start up my car, the dashboard shows the "engine gas temperature" icon?

The only way that it can void the factory warranty if it causes another part of the car to fail. Most situations, it would do nothing to the factory warranty.
So you should be ok to put a cat-back system on the car, but I wouldn't take the converter off under any circumstances..
(Ford turbo diesels are an exception)

VW Engine Problem?

Yes. Those bastards will use any excuse to void a warranty

I have a chevy 4x4 full size truck. it has an auto trans. I want to put a manaul trans. help?

If you only put a muffler, axel back, or a cat-back it will not void your warrenty. On my Mitsubishi Eclipse the dealership told me that headers, downpipe, cateletic converter removal, or 02 censor removal would void my warrenty.

What kind of fuel should I use on my brand new Honda Accord Coupe 4 cyl?

Not all of them. It should if it does not hurt the warrenty, especially if its legal in your state.
