vehicle is a 1983 cadillac eldorado
car over heating and passenger compartment is getting steam out of vents without the ac or heater on,
when i tried to turn on the heater i got water coming out from under the dash. i first noticed yesterday that the defroster was not working i turned it on could hear it blowing but no air coming out of the vents
any help would be great!

if you can't do it, have it done in a shop. you can ask how to do it by calling a cad dealership, or go there and check on how it's done. they should have the drawings you need on their computer if you don't have a chilton's for your car.

The most likely problem is the heater core leaking. As for air not blowing out the vents there could also be a problem in the heater/ac controls.
