What causes the brakes to loose pressure when the car idles down on a 2002 Ford Focus?

try pulling the throttle body off the car and clean the crap out of ALL the passages in it. also take a lint free cloth....attach it to a smooth round shaft.......(no not that one!) and swab out the inside of the intake as good as possible. DO NOT SPRAY CLEANER INTO IT ! also tyr a really good brand of fuel like Chevron with techrolene, mid grade for a tank along with a good fuel system cleaner in the tank.

I have a 92 chevy pick-up with a 305 v8 just recently i cant get it to go over 30mph and the exhaust is black?

It could be the ecu...but I would put my money on the throttle body being bad or maybe a vacuum leak. If its not those then you could try the ecu. I wonder how many miles is on the car, could you have a compression issue?
