Motorhome motor exhaust black when idling. Highway its o.k.?

My 93 Gulfstream motorhome with a Ford Super Duty 7.5l fuel injected gas motor emits black smoke when it idles & when it warms up & going down highway it quits smoking. I have had all electical tests done & all checked o.k. Can someone help as to which sensor is probably defective or anything else that could be the cause.

engine coolant sensor or O2...or both if you have offended the RV gods...pull your trouble codes ...fords are great about letting you know why you are pushing them.

Black smoke is always an indication of a rich fuel mixture. The fact that it dose it only at idle when cold should make it an easy fix.
