I am no mechanic... But I think it's time to take it to one... It could be that something has gotten into the radiator and is clogging it... Another thing is that there could be a hole in a hose or the radiator itself... Then there could be the fact that the car is a piece of junk... I doubt it... But that could be... But it sounds more like there's just a hole somewhere is there... or a crack...

I am a car expert 20 year at a GM dealer . Sounds like your rad is plugged.The quick easy way to til is to warm engine up then feel the rad for cold spots. Make sure your on the rad not the ac condenser and be careful of the cooling fan.If the rad is warm or hot in some areas and cold in others the rads plugged.If you replace the rad replace the thermo stat also.Make sure you check up cooling fan if its electric.Hope I helped and good luck

the radiator isnt draining because it has had either bad water or really cheap coolant in it the reason it is overheating idle is because ur core is stopped up try pulling it out and taking it to your nearest radiator shop and have it rotted out that should cure ur problem

Have the flow checked on the radiator a stopped-up radiator could be your problem & make sure the cooling fan is coming on. If all is ok there possible water pump problem.
