Question:
I've noticed in the past that when I hit bumps i'll hear a click every now and again in my axel/break area. Then my neighborhood put in some very obtrusive speed bumps and my car's suspension system didn't take it well. Today I drove across the city and I began to hear a very loud clicking/popping from the same are but much more frequently. Anyone have any ideas? Should I simply head to the Volvo place?

Volvo place... ti could just be the brakesLeaded fuel in an unleaded engine?
check your cv jointswhat are the typical hours for day shift and night shifts?
That noise is more than likely coming from the front axel. These cars are known for having bad axles. They may just have to lube and 'glue' the CV boot back but if there is clicking and its getting worse, you may have to replace the entire axel.At a Volvo dealership that is approx $500-700
But I would definately have someone check it out.
