Why does the ABS light in my car only come on at night?

Question:
I check the light during the day and its never on but as soon as night time comes around it comes on. Its been doing that ever since I got my breaks changed!

I have a Jeep and the overdrive dose not work. Were can I go in the net to get help to fix it or do u know how

My guess is that it's on during the day... although you just cannot see it in the daylight... an ABS wheel sensor might need to be replaced or it may just have a little grease on it, which could cause it to activate inadvertently ! Have it checked the by the place you recently had the brake work done... the work is probably warrented for a limited time... like 90 days and or 1000 miles !

Hi, usually these lights are hard to be seen in day time . so maybe that is why it appears not to be on, could depend on your driving times etc. could be coming on only after they get hot. or after the computer goes through its test sequences. but the fiorst step i would recomend would contact the raepar shoip or whom ever done your brakes, some these lights are activated by mileage amount on your vehicle, just like oilchange lights etc.. this varies by the type vehicle it is every manufacturer is different. etc.. but when the necessary maintehnce is done it requires being reset. to prevent it from giving you a false alarm. this reset step varies for each manufacturer on toyota in ex. Camry, in your dash console on the mileage trip . prsee ot top tripA the hold turn the key on/off with foot on the brake enitre time . but this step can be different on each model. refer to your owners manual it may include the directions for restetting but usually they all say contact your local dealer hoping they can make more $$$$ off of you. hope this helps you..
