86 Escort L turn-signal switch?

Question:
I picked up a nice 86 Escort L - turn-signals don't work and seller said mech. told him it was the switch in the column. My ign. switch is also a touch sloppy (goes past go too easy). How hard is it to pull the wheel and get to the ts-switch - and should I change the ign. switch at the same time? (it still has a nice sweet-spot). Will Auto-zone loan me the puller(s) and/or tools I need?

Answers:

What are the signs of a transmission going out in a car?

autozone.com has online repair manuals....check them for how to replace the switches. If you can't find the procedure there, check the library for repair manuals. last resort, buy the repair manual.
