There is a product called silicone emmusion and that is one of it's many purposes. Not only does it prevent the door weather seals from freezing it keeps them soft and pliable for years to come. No cracks or weather checks. Can be purchased at any GM store.

When you have the doors open, lightly wipe down the rubber seals with a rubber protectant or WD-40.

You don't by any chance have an older Ford or Mercury do you?
I have a `89 Grand Marquis that did that a lot when it got really cold. Clean the rubber door seals real good then spray them with `silicone' . If they keep sticking, spray them again
