will a crankshaft and cam from a 91 to 95 chevy v6 3.1 work on a 97?
I'm not sure about the transfer case, you may need to get one for manual also, you will need a bell housing , clutch petal and linkage to go from petal to bell housing(alot of the newer models use a cable or hyd cylinder,i don't know what year model yours is)make sure you place a bushing in the new flywheel to accept the pilot shaft( a mistake i made and it tore the tranny up after a few hundred miles), after you have placed all of this , you will probably need to cut your drive shaft to make up hte difference in the lengths of auto vs, manual, you can get this done at alot of machine shops that will rebalance it for you also, o.k after you you have placed the new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate , bell housing, tranny and transfer case, drive shaft, you have to decide if the gears in the rear end will be low enough for a manual tranny. most rearends of auto's are higher ratio than manual tranny's , if this is the case, not only will you have to change the rear gears, you will have to change the front gears to match, or you will have some major problems when you lock in 4 wheel drive , because on e will be trying to out run the other and the transfer can't handle it, just like running different size tires on front than on the back, you will have transfer problems, hope this helpsHow can I fix my tachometer on my 1992 Honda Accord ?
Dude, you would be better off trading that truck in or buying a new one. The easiest way would to be to buy the sme enginr for that truck with a manual transmission already attached to it. Otherwise you are going to have to fabricate a lot of parts. YOu are already going to have to do some extensive modification to the interior of the truck. Good luck...you're gonna need it...yeah man unless you know someone that will put lots of manhours in, forget it
Do four wheel disc brakes wear better than front disc and rear drum?
You don't say what year truck. You need to change bell housing, drive shaft, cut for floor shift, add linkage and pedal. Depending upon how new your vehicle is you may need to change transamission module and computer. You are better off to buy a rebuilt auto trans or buy another truck that is a manual shift.More Questions & Answers ...
