89 chevy corsica dies at stop signs any ideas why?

I tried changing the fuel filter but it still dies. What else should I check for.

does my truck have air injection? how do i know?

does it act like when you forget to push in the clucth on a stick? does it stasrt back up but stalls when you put in gear? if so then the lock-up solenoid is sticking, replace it.

what does original mean?

if it runs fine until you get to a stop , it probably is your torque converter lock up sol. - if the car acts like it is a standard transmission and you didnt push in the clutch to stop ,and stalls , then the sol. is the problem . you will need a side cover gasket and a solenoid , and a few liters of dexron. you can disconect the electrical plug and see if it cures the problem .( i think it is a blue plug)if disconnecting the plug doesnt cure the problem then it is something else.
