Can you help figure out what to do with my car?
i think that it could be the fan cooling the engine....fans can and will keep going even after the car is off depending on the temperature of the engine. sounds to me like its working fine and doing what it should...how do i replace the cabin filter in a 1998 mercedes slk 230?
It might be the fan still running to cool down the engine. It does stop after a while doesn't it?What does it mean if you reset your check engine light and it comes back on after a couple of days?
i own a shop, and it sounds like it might be spewing coolant back over in to the reservoir on it,they,ll do this for a while ,when they have been cut off, it shouldn't do it over two or three times though at the most,if that's what it is,from what you said that's what it sounds like, good luck,i hope this help,s.whats the easiest engine to put in an 1985 ford ranger?
I believe that "sgt" has a start on a good reply. If this continues on, then there is a switch controlling the fan that keeps turning the fan on. The first thing I would replace is that temperature sensor, it is located on the side of the radiator itself. That should take care of the problem. While this switch may turn the fan on after the car has been turned off, it should only do it once, at most twice. You seem to indicate that this happens more often than that.Your cell phone fell out of your shirt pocket the last time you checked the oil.
