How much will it cost me at an autoshop to have my head gaskets replaced on a 96 Nissan Maxima?

Question:
Should I get any other work done while the engine is torn apart?

Answers:

how do you convert from a dynamo to alternator on an 1960s car?

Headgaskets cost upwards of $900. If you plan on keeping the car for a few more years, have it replaced. While the engine is apart now would be a good time to replace the waterpump, timing belt, and any seals or whatnot that have caused the engine to lose compression, IF it has. Those are the only things I can think of.
