when I got to start my car. It cranks over hard and strong. But I noticed that gas pedal that is connected to throttle cable is so lose that theres no tension. It rests against the firewall. Is this do to the full pump issue or what? I am not car genius. Help Please.

the fuel pump has nothing to do with the petal pressure or lack thereof. it sounds like you have a broken throttle cable. its probably not that hard or expensive to fix. yet this technically doesnt explain why you are not able to start the car - the car should start without any cable tension because the throttle body is set for an idle. its sounds like there are other problems - fuel pump, stopped up fuel filter or a spark plug / spark plug wire problemfirst lok for an unhooked or broken return spring. if thats ok, then you need a new cable, it's probably stretched.

i own a shop,and it sounds like the throttle cable is going bad on it,or the bracket that the pedal set in is coming loose on it this will cause the pedal to set over like this,you might want to check this ,that cable may be getting ready to break on it,,you can get a good used one for it at a junk yard for around 15 bucks,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.What could be wrong with my car's heater?
I dont know a ford taurus but it sounds like the return spring on throttle cable is not functioning or brokenYou have a "crank but no-start" engine problem. Even if your throttle cable is broken (which I doubt), your engine should start up without you ever touching the accelerator pedal. In fact, the proper starting procedure for a modern fuel injection engine is to turn the key to start and keep your foot OFF the accelerator pedal. So then, if your engine cranks normally but does not start, you need to check for the presence of ignition spark and proper fuel pump pressure. Make sure you hear the fuel pump run when you first turn the key to "on" without turning it to the "start" position. If you cycle the key from on to off to on every 5 seconds, you should hear the fuel pump (in the gas tank behind you) run.

pedal on floor yes?ok open hood and look at fuel pump where cable goes there is a plastic adjuster normaly with a clip holdig it if clip is missing or broke new clip ford will have this if no borken then cable is broken and new cable will be needed again ford will have this
can be an ar ce to fit though!
