Question:
If my car has a decent amount of gas, it will run fine. However, if the gas gets low to around a quarter of a tank, the car will die and have problems accelerating. If I put more gas in the car, then it drives fine again.
I have a code 1870 and check trans light on my isuzu, any idea what the code is?
What could be causing this? I was thinking maybe there was something in the gas tank that somehow causes problems when the gas gets low.

you can get sludge in the tank over time or the fuel pump in the tank needs to be fixed or repositioned . Either way you could find out easy by looking. If u have a newer car, in the trunk there may be a round cut-out that u can turn and pull out. Do that and there u will see access to the fuel tank.
