What is wrong with my 1999, 1500 chevy truck? It has a 350 engine.?

It is a common misconception. Think about it, does cold air contain more oxygen? No...So how can it help. Now change the air filter, or make it turbocharged and you can see the difference.

Modify the exhaust (ie. bigger pipes) to accommodate air flow for better economy and power. He's right about warmer air, try a performance air filter first. K&N work well (follow maintainance instructions for longer life) try autoanything.com

Is it possible to lift a truck without a lift kit?

Yes! Your car is breathing better. I've seen the results myself. You dont need to get an exaust set up just for a cold air intake, it will help but not make a night and day difference. You can also just get a K and N drop in element for better performance and mileage without having to worry about hydro lock situations if you live where its wet!

Is the mercedes cigarette lighter plug different from other cars?

help with rims?

It depends how old your car is. If it has a carb. cold air will upset your air / fuel ratio. With an untouched carburetor and cool air you'll need to slightly increase jet sizes or decrease metering rod sizes to maintain the same mixture ratio. This move may not help your mileage. If you have a relatively new car with fuel injection, go for it. Cold air has more oxygen in it. With a low restriction air cleaner plumed to cold air you 'll feel more power. Personally I'd go for a good quality tune up first, with well thought out top quality parts. Use the correct viscosity motor oil for your engine. Switch to a quality synthetic if your car is under 40,000 miles. If I had more info. on your vehicle as to year make model and engine I could point you in a direction to some great carburetor books. This minute I've got my hands tied. If you're intrested what oil Joe Gibbs uses in his race cars Type in: Joe Gibs Racing Oil you'll be shocked. This oil is not for street driven cars.
