For pros where or where not to buy parts who makes junk and who is good?

i asked a question on what parts were the best and someone listed duralast pads? now we all know he is wrong,,, what are your favorits, and whats the worst ,, list your qualifications ,, lets get thease people were helping to stop buying junk parts and thinking we are the bad guys when we tell them they need to do it again

I'll probably open a can of worms here, but I am a firm believer in using O.E.M. (Factory) parts. Sometimes they are a little more expensive, sometimes they're cheaper ( compare a "rebuilt" starter price against a BRAND NEW Chrysler for a 3.0 liter Mini-van!), but OEM parts fit better, and have a better warranty. Of course, there are a few exceptions here and there, but IMHO, OEM is the way to go!
