Question:
I got an oil change at one of those 20 minute change places. And all was fine, other than they charged me nearly $55 for a lube/oil/filter job as I needed some SPECIAL filter or something twisted. Anyhow... about 3000 kms afterwards, my change oil light is now coming on when i start my car. It stays on for about 2 minutes and turns off. I had someone check the oil and it's got a good amount in it and it's a good colour. What do you think the issue might be? I've continued to drive it, with no problems and am changing the oil this week (way early) to aleviate my worries. Also, do you know where I might be able to get answers to general auto advice for this vehicle? Thank you.

How can i pimp my ride to turn off the light after sex - without having to close the car door?
the sensor could be going or the place messed up the wires...could be a short for the light to come on.How many quarts of oil do you put in a Range Rover Sport, its a V8 by the way.?
I would try to stay away from lube shops, heard stories from guys who worked there that they would sometimes just wash the filters off to wake them look new if the were difficult to remove, also would get pressured into trying to sell customers things like new drain-plugs on cars when there was nothing wrong with the old one. As far as the oil light goes I don't see what they could have done to cause it....other than not changing the filter if it was plugged.I have an olds intrigue this is just like a TIMER LIGHT- it comes on queing you to change the oil
If the pressure light is on you just may have a problem
Rotate the engine so that No. 1 cylinder is at TDC on the compression stroke. What does TDC mean?
But from yours you just need to look in the book/owneers manual and reset it so it turns on when you need another its just a reminder not an indicator saying something is wrong.
With mine all it is is holding the key a certain way in the iginition.
