Question:
It fell off when I was cleaning it.There is no obvious means of attachment.There are no glue marks or sticky pads,only a rubber washer which surrounds the back of the mirror leg.

The glue you need to use is called loctite , it is in two parts , one is a spray and the other a gel , you mix 50 50 and put a small amount on the mirror boss (the metal bit) then fix it in place with a piece of masking tape for one hour.on the 5 srs the mirror twists off the boss to the left or right so you will need some pliers or a small screwdriver to twist the metal fitting from the mirror it will turn 45 degrees then release , make sure all debris and grease are removed from the boss and the glass before you glue ,use some white spirits on a cloth and wipe clean. be sure to fix the boss on the right angle so that when you twist the mirror on it is located straight it is like an hexagonal shape , if there is a rain sensor on the screen it may be a bit more complex but i can tell you what you need to know. when the glue is dry the mirror will twist on , spray a small amount of wd40 in the fitting of the mirror to aid the re-fitting and good luck.If you need any advice mail me and i will talk you through it.how does the volvo wagon v70 compare to a mazda wagon? They make a little rear view mirror kit for that which includes glue remover.make sure 100 percent of the old glue is gone before trying to replace it.You will need to separate the mount plate from the mirror.then when you glue it,leave the mount plate on there for 2 days before putting the mirror back on it ,even if the instructions say to only wait 1 day.when you put the mirror back on tighten up the allen head screw and you should be good to go!I cant figure it out, G.M. experts HELP!!?

Go to your local auto store. They sell mirror adhesive. If not you need the dealer. They might sell the pad to reattach it.where can i get the cheapest car battery from for a honda accord 2.0?
Clean both glass and mirror sticking part with methylated spirits and buy some good quality double sided tape.This worked for me.

With the temperature extremes here abouts, I've leaned: Take it to the guys who fixed the rock chips in my windshield- they have the appropriate glue and my guys have done it for FREE- a couple of times. Interested in this: I got fed up of trying to glue to glass, so put a couple of self tappers through into the steel frame and had just enough adjustment to crank it up for a decent rear view, without 'spacers' or anything. use strong sticky double sided tape if you use glue it will crack your windscreen. im a mechanic you cant buy the stuff which its orig stuck on with.Paint & body shop experts please!?
you could always try super glue. most of my car is stuck together with the stuff. or you could double sided tape or that sticky pad thing.good luck
