As above, I have a Corsa and the clutch pedal has just started to squeek and be quite stiff just as I press the pedal, do I need a new cable?

Its not an unusual or expensive problem to fix, Common on all vauxhalls. Feel up the top of the pedal where it goes through the plastic trim above it, you may need to remove the trim. You will feel a spring for the clutch pedal mechanism. Just give it a good squirt with wd40 and should loosen it off. Just remember to wipe it off your pedal if you spill any.Oil leak on 2000 Subary Forester?
never heard of a corsa..but if it's stiff, it could be low on clutch fluid (dot-3 brake fluid), have air in the system, or the clutch master or slave cylinder isnt' working properly.

If it is a cable it probably wouldn't come back all the way when you let it up, it's probably a hydraulic clutch and shouldn't squeak, if it was low on fluid it would get soft, not stiff. It may just need a little lubrication in the pedal linkage, try spaying a little lubricant on the pivot points for the pedal under the dash or where the squeak is if you can pinpoint it.i have to replace headlight switchin a mazda is it had to get around the air bag?
Depends,it might need replacing due to the age and mileage of the corsa,but I wouldn't have thought so.Reference the squeaking,if you put a mirror behind the clutch pedal,you will see the return spring attached to the pedal.That is more than likely where the squeaking is coming from.Get some WD40,and spray it onto the spring.That should cure the noise.who is selling a used time-sert tool for a northstar engine?
Hi, It could be the cable but with such low miles it's probably just the pivot point follow up the pedal to where the bolt it hinges on comes through and grease that if you have some or (fairy liquid) or some spray lube, make sure not to spray the pedal!This should sort it out, if not try and spray down the cable (if it has one! It may be hydraulic.

the stiffness could be just the cable and the noise may just be the pedal, put some wd40 on the pivit point of the pedal and try a new clutch cable.Dose anyone know where i can buy a pair of 1952 ford truck fenders?

a vauxhall with a squeeky clutch pedal is nothin abnormal they normally come like that from the factory as standard. but if your pedal is stiff you could try changin the cable but you may find that the problem is the clutch or the release bearing that opperates the clutch.spray some wd40 on the pedal
