Just had a rock put a small chip in my windshield. I am looking for something I could do to prevent it from sending out the spiderweb cracks. I think I have heard about using some type of glue.

Auto parts stores carry a clear "glue", but I believe that this is cosmetic, not structural and won't prevent a crack from propagating.If the chip is small, you should mark the glass on where it is and note if it the crack progresses. For the most part, small chips won't do any harm.
