Wwhy is my trucks interior by the passenger side feet leaking engine collant?

Question:
i have a 1991 gmc sonoma.
and earlier i looked and there was green engine collant leaking in smalll amounts to large amounts from where the passenger puts their feet..
what is it?

It's very common, but needs to get fixed quickly, lest you end up with ruined carpet, and a very smelly interior. You also will be having no heat coming out of the heater in a short time, if you haven't noticed this already.

you have a ''blown'' heater core. you need to take it to your favorite machanic and do it NOW! you are losing engine coolant and this makes you engine run hotter, this could lead to devastating problems. plus breathing the vapors of engine coolant isn't good for the respitory system or brain cells.
