Question:
Have been driving the car a lot recently with no problems and simply drove it off the drive to allow a delivery van to get closer to the house, I then reversed the car back onto drive, and now it will not start. Engine turns but will not start. Could this be a relay or electrical problem as the problem just seemed to be instant? Any suggestions on what to look for would be appreciated.

Blown head gasket on 2002 Ford F150?
The immobiliser is a prime suspect.I wouldn't have thought it would be an immobiliser as you say the engine turns over ok (most immobilisers I have come across inhibit the starter) so it could then only be a fuel or ignition problem. To test the ignition you could disconnect one of the HT leads and hold it near an earth point while an assistant cranks the engine. A fuel problem will need further investigation. Does the pump whirr when you switch the ignition on? Does the inertia switch need resetting?

Whoever told that a jag was supposed to start, made a practical (and very expensive) joke.More Questions & Answers ...
