Question:
While my car was in the shop yesterday the mechanic changed my cabin air filter. When I picked my car up (after paying him $505) my wiper blades parked up. I took it right back in, he checked under the hood, removed a panel by the windsheild and showed me where they changed the filter.
Why won't my garage door close with the remote? It's a 2 car garage with a single door...?
He said the windsheild wiper switch was no where near where they worked making it clear I could set up another appointment to have that too fixed.
About how much will it cost to get my truck lifted 6-8 inches?
Is there anything I can do at home to fix that? I'm sure if I take it back in there he's going to charge me another $200+/- and I can't afford that.
Answers:
Your steering column switch is no where near the cabin filter - But the Wiper MOTOR might be. And he might have damaged it. Without knowing the type of car it is it's hard to say if it is near the cabin filter, but on my car the wiper motor is buried in the dash near the filter.
ok try this.take off both wipers and then turn on the wipers and then turn them off, then put the wipers back on to where they should be.
how do I get to the speakers behind the driver and frontseat passenger in my 96 RAV 4?
could have knocked off the wire which provides 12v to wiper motor.also check the fuse for your wipers
What do you call the air induction system that uses a hood scoop?
You paid $505 to have a cabin filter replaced?Try the wipers out and see what they do. If they go way off to the side when they run, the idjit probably just put them on wrong. If they work normally, but stop as soon as you turn the switch off, there's a switch inside the motor that's supposed to keep them going till they're parked.
This jerk is ripping you off and trying to rip you off more. He probably broke the wipers on purpose in the hopes of screwing you for another $200 for two minutes of work. He'll keep taking your money as long as you're giving it away.
