will a transmission from a 1992 Mazda 929 fit a 1994 Mazda 929?
they should be right ,i use the book procedure on doing them and don't ever have any problems from them, but it sounds like you have them right on it,if it runs good and is quiet, and not rattling id say you have them where they should be at,if you can barely turn the push rods that's the proper way to do them, good luck with it,if you need any more help,I'm sure someone will be on here to help.how transmissions loose transmission fluid when their are no leaks?
Valve as well as all engine parts should be tourqed in order and to a specified tourque with a tourque wrench check with a mechanic or shop manuel. My 1990 Geo Prizm won't advance when I push on the gas pedal!!?
I hope you are using a shop manual, because your valves need to be done in a certain order with the cam in different positionsthat does not sound to good.if you are not sure leave well alone.
Mazda Engine Coolant how many gal.in 2000 mpv in system?
They're adjusted too tight. I spent the last half hour trying to find the specification, first in a book and then on the Internet. The only way I ever knew of adjusting valves was with a feeler gage on a hot engine. I got paceperform.com on the Internet and they have a method I've never heard of. If valves are adjusted too loose, they will click, and they tend to get loose over time. The best mechanic I ever knew used a feeler gage on a hot engine and always adjusted valves 2 thousandths of an inch tighter than the published specification. Please be kind enough to ignore the guy who said to use a torque wrench.Looking for some help with car spray painting....Anyone help?
start the engine and let it idle, then take each rocker and loosen them(1 at a time)till you hear tapping, then tighten it till it quits, then give it another quarter to half more turns.thats the way i do it,and i dont have any trouble.More Questions & Answers ...
