Ignition Control Unit...?

Question:
What happens if this goes bad? I have a 1990 thunderbird, and i can get it to run right. It has equal compression, spark and fuel. Idk whats left...The ECU shows no trouble codes. Could it be the ignition control unit? distributer timing is correct.

if the ECU gos bad you will not have spark have you made it throw a code unhook a temp sensor and make it throw a code if it don't parable got computer problem you did not say what it was doing in your question is it a miss fire or a shake.
