Question:
I just got a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP that came with a stock remote start. The owner's manual says that the remote start can be programmed to start the fan automatically with it, running either the heat or the ac depending on the temperature. The only problem is that no where in the owner's manual does it tell you how to set it to work! It is really cold, and it would be nice if the remote start in my brand new car worked the way I wanted it to! Pleae help!
Answers:
has anyone heard of the windtunnel air filter for autoes?
Before you get out of the car, turn the heater (or a/c on). When you start it in the morning,(or whatever) after a few minutes you'll have heat (or a/c)...Car belt is squelling what I start the engine, anything I can do?
You don"t want fan until 190 degree coolant,I guess the remotecommand by passes relay, for continueous fan operation/
I would not want that feature
It sounds to me as if the remote start is not wired correctly. There is a certain wire in the wiring harness that one wire from the remote starter must be wired to in order for the fan to activate when the car is started (assuming you leave the fan switch on when you shut the car off).
E-mail me the name and model of the remote start and I may be able to pinpoint the wire mix up for you.
