That's kind of an old ride to start pouring serious money into. No reverse is probably just one symptom. The entire transmission might be on the verge of going out. You'd pay at least $800 for a used transmission installed. If you don't mind, and the rest of the car is in great shape, it wouldn't be a bad risk.

Transmission work is very expensive.the transmission shop around me charge 400 just drop your tranny take it apart to see whats wrong with it. Then they have to repair it. tThe 400 is include with the repair
