Need help with my civic !?

Question:
Ok so the problem on my car is when my transmition changes gear when driving, my car doesnt accelerate anymore until i start pressing the gas peddle very hard. why is that?

I have a civic 92 lx automatic, D15b7 engine 1.5L. 4 door.

transmission is probably going out. does it continue to rev, but not accelerate? if so, it is the tranny.

you might need to flush the transmission fluid. or get your fuel injectors cleaned. when you do that it increases the cars throttle response. or if its a manual your clutch might be going out.
