When I put it in gear it wont move. I've added transmission fluid and still nothing, Do I need a new one, or a new car. Its a 1994 Chevy Lumina. I know its an old car but it has a good engine.

This car most likely is an automatic right it sounds to me like you have blown the transmission which will run you some serious cash to repair get it checked out by a pro but my answer is time for a new one or atleast another beater. it could be sometjhin easy like a snap cable or something else but really get a pro to take a look I would have it towed to a transmission shop since that appears to be the problem. This just makes sense since alot of mechanics shop don't necessarily work on transmissions.procedure for adjusting new lifters in a 327 motor?
Clutch? No your car has an automatic. Could be quite a few things. I assume it was low on fluid before adding? Was it making any noises or shifting erratically b4 it stopped working. Could be a shifter cable (fairly inexpensive). Have someone look under hood on drivers side straight below brake resovoir while you move shifter if they can see the cable move the lever that counts that out.i have a question about redline underbody light kit ?
If it was making noise before parking it maybe a axle cv joiint has failed. Little more complex to test yet worth having ckd by mechanic if it was making noise before especially when turning corners. Moderate expense.
