Question:
Answers:
To lubricate moving parts...duh.
What does it mean when your car sounds like its changing gears and its an automatic?
oil is what keeps all the moving metal parts seperate from each other so they don't rub. If they rubbed that would cause friction which in turn creates heat which in turn makes metal swell in size which in turn would make the engine freeze up and stop working.when i turn my car on on i hear a trickeling water like noise coming from the airconditioner?
oil is the blood of the engine.
What does the Security Light mean?
To reduce fricion, which causes heat, which causes problems for an engine made of metal.some one help aways have to jump off?
oil keeps everything running smooth it keeps things from getting to hot a car needs oil and if it did not have it most of would melt together just put it like this rub your hands together for 60 sec now put oil on them and do it again a lot easy same rules for the engine but its way harderI think it speaks for it's self.So the answer to the question is that oil is used as lubrication for all the moving parts of the engine.Without oil,you would cause friction, with metal to metal. If you run an engine without oil,it seizes up.
