we need more details. and if you have never done anything of this nature i can't recommend you doing it yourself.
remove the drain plug in the transmission pan (most toyotas have one) let it drain for a few minutes then fill it up (you have to add ATF through the trans dipstick tube)after you fill it up start the engine and check the fluid level with the car in PARK.
whatever you do DONT START THE CAR with the drain plug out and no oil!!! and DON'T run it throught the gears like that dummy below me is saying! you will be running the transmission without any lubrication and WILL damage it!

thats the lazy half assed way of changing the transmission fluid!, and NEVER take your car to a 10minute oil change place for a tranny service!

its like a sump... it will have a sump plug usually on the passenger side from memory. drain it but dont forget the torgue convertor hold most of the fluid. so make sure that you have a person in the car with engine running, foot on the break and running through the gears to pump out as mush as you can. to fill put it in the dipstick holder. make sure you put enough in and check the level while its hot not cold as the convertor needs to fill up to propper running level.dude, aren't you so cool for saying 'tranny' instead of 'transmission! You have to take it in. I have a 2004 Vibe with the same engine/trans and I had mine done. They put a long tube down your trans dipstick shaft and pull out some oil, put in some new oil, then repeat a bunch of times. It doesn't replace all of the oil, but puts a lot of good oil in while keeping it full. I got mine done at a Valvoline station.how many days for auto repaint job?
just take off the whole pan and filter and let it sit for a few hours. make sure to get a new filter and gasket first.More Questions & Answers ...
