I have a 1999 Lincoln Town Car with many many miles on it. It is now knocking and blows smoke. I am considering putting a low mile engine in it because the body is great. I have found an Engine with less than 25K miles on it.

your looking at about 10 hours to start for labor. Dont forget plugs and wires coolant and maybe engine mounts. do what it takes to make your replacement engine last ! not a driveway job.slipping transmission after flush?
The shop hours I don't know exactly but it's probably around 15 or more. The parts that you can replace is a waterpump, plugs, and wires. These are not necessary but a good idea. Having someone do this on the side is not a good idea unless you know they will do a good job.I need a brake repair quote... any mechanics out there?
