Need help to fix a 1998 ford taursus?

I was driving and my car died without any warning whats so ever!!! I know that everything is working but i cant get the engine to turn over . what can i look for to solve the problem I changed the belt and i am looking to the fuel filter or pump/ can anyone give me any suggestions

if your car died and wont even crank over my guess is your alternator isnt charging ,drained your battery ,car died try jump starting your car and see if it will run then see if a battery light is on or if vehicle is charging should be around 14v 12 or less is no good

Bad alternator, bad battery. If it wont turn over, as in seized, then you're in trouble. If it just won't turn over, as in 'start', then the reason it would die would be not enough electricity to fire the coil (which sends the juice to the spark plugs). You need a working alternator to keep the battery charged enough to power this ignition process. If your alternator goes bad, the battery will die very fast just from ignition, and the motor will stop soon after with no hope of restarting. That's my best guess.

You said without warning...you would probably have a few minutes warning if it were an alternator problem.radio dies, blinkers and wipers are really slow...if it was instant, then you could be right with fuel pump.
