The Daytime running lights on my car have stopped working, is this a fuse problem or something bigger?

Question:
the car is a 1997 Olds Achieva, I scraped the front undercarriage yesterday on a rough driveway. I also had two new tires put on the front of the car recently. Either of these could be the source... what is the solution?

Answers:

The Alt belt adj is broken due to a screw in the aircondition pump. Can my car run if I got rid of the pump?

Could be any of the above, or even more.
- Check the bulbs are good (silly, but always start simple)
NO? Check the socket and wiring harness from the light fixtures back... got voltage?
NO? then check fuse (see fuse panel door, owners mnl or repair mnl for fuse assignments).
Did that do it? If not... then the answer is yes, probably bigger problems. DRLs in GMs don't like to last long, personally I believe the poorly supported panels plus road vibration equals dead bulb.

Honda guys out there?

Good luck.

The heater in my car won't work?

IT'S POSSIBLE YOU MITE HAVE JARRED A GROWND WIRE
LOSE WHEN YOU PUMP THE FRONT BUT.IF YOU HEADLIGHT SWITCH STILL TURNS ON YOUR LIGHTS THEN I WOULD CHECK THE DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHT RELAY.
