Question:
The code tells me I have a bad sensor, series one bank one. That should be the one before the cat. converter. I've replace both O2 sensors and the engine wiring harness and have cleared the code several times. The same trouble code seems to keep haunting me. The engine at times also seems to lack power. Like it's not getting enough fuel. With the wiring and O2 sensors replaced could it be the ECM?

Will a car pass smog if new transmission is needed?
You've just learned that the O2 sensor code does not always mean that the sensor is failing. It means that something is causing that sensor to generate a voltage that's out of spec. It could be that the ECM is bad (not likely). Why would a 95 Chevy Beretta Z26 shake and blow out a cloud of black smoke?
obviously dirty sanchez doesn't know what it means to "clear the code." Disconnecting the battery cable is a way to turn the MIL off for people without a code reader. His suggestion is useless.
Problem after replacing oxygen sensor?
Examine your fuel system before you do anything else. Also check out the ignition parts.
try unhooking your battery for about 10 minutes
Where can I find euro headlights and tail lights for an Oldmosbile Alero?
tune it up...have u looked at plugs and wires?JUST BECAUSE THE CODE TELLS YOU IT IS A BAD O2 SENSOR DOESN'T MEAN IT IS SO. THE SENSOR READS THE AMOUNT OF OXYGEN IN THE EXHAUST. IF TO MUCH IT TELLS THE COMPUTER THAT THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING LEAN AND DUMPS MORE FUEL. IF TO LITTLE OXYGEN IT TELLS THE COMPUTER TO CUT BACK ON THE FUEL. THIS IS CALLED A RICH OR LEAN MIXTURE. YOU COULD HAVE A VACUMM LEAK THAT IS PUTTING TO MUCH OXYGEN IN THE SYSTEM AND SETS A CODE OF THE O2 SENSOR BAD. CHECK AROUND THE AIR FILTER AND MAKE SURE THE COVER IS PROPERLY INSTALLED. ALSO CHECK AROUND ANY VACUMM HOSES FOR ANY PIN HOLE LEAKS. HOPE THIS HELPS. GOOD LUCK
