What causes a car's engine to hydraulic lock?
Normally speed rated to 80kph / 50mph. Only designed to get you home or to a garage.Break pedal doesn't raised fully up when engine running.?
The spare which they call donuts are only able to be used temporary until you can get to a service station to have your regular tire fixed. You can drive normally on them but not for long periods.the small tire is not meant for driving beyond the distance necessary to get a new tire.....not very far and not very fast. Get the old tire replaced/repaired soonest.
whats in gas line antifreeze?can i use something else?
If you have a front wheel drive car, move that spare to the rear and the rear to the front !! Try to never drive far with one of those space savers on a drive axle, very bad for the transmission.I need answers about working on my daughters 1999 pontiac sunfire?
Those tires are only meant to get you to the next tire shop. I believe most are rated at like 45mph. I wouldn't trust it over that. And wouldn't trust it very far.
Don't have enough money for a tire, check local junk yards, they usually have nice used tires cheap.
Still don't have enough money, how much do you want to spend when that space saver blows out and causes and accident?
Most tire manufacturers say less than 55 MPH. Remember the car will handle differently, have less ground clearance, less traction on wet or snowy surfaces and those temporary spares wear pretty fast. Replace it soon.
I was told no more than 50mph. It might be lower but I would suggest not risking going any faster.
how do you check the glow plugs on a diesel to see if they are going bad for a 84 gmc 6.2L?
If you look on the side of the tire I believe that it will tell you 50mph for 50 miles, check it out to make sure. But since it is on the front drivers side, I highly recommend that you replace it with the correct size, even if you have to buy a good used tire. It is not safe to be driving with that tire in that position. So get it changed ASAPtightning lug nuts with our hands ***please read***?
i see everyone answered the speed part...but your only suppose to drive on it a max of 35-40 mileswhat is the drive axles replacement costs (with labor) for mercury sable 1990?
The temporary spare is just to get you to your next destination and to the shop to have your original tire repaired. After that, it must remain in good enough shape so that it can be used the next time it is needed.Approximately how long can this engine last?
But if you really wanted to know how far you could actually get and how fast you could realistically drive, I can tell you that I drove over 8000 miles, sometimes speeds in excess of 65-70 MPH the last time I used the temporary spare. This, however, is not a good idea. I eventually drove it to the point to where there was no tread left and I wore a hole through the tire making it go flat. I nearly got into a car wreck with it also because my ability to brake, steer, and keep control of the car was significantly affected.
what is the difference between a mechanical and vacuum advance distributors?
If its one of those donut spares, you should get your other tire fixed ASAP. They are not meant to be on for a long time. However if its just a regular tire, has long as its in good condition, as long as its good.More Questions & Answers ...
