If its a stock engine then it will be inside the carburetor. Its behind the large hex bolt on the carburetor, just turn it out, the filter will be inside and take it out then throw it away. Well, I would say it is in the end of the carburetor. Where the fuel line connects to the carb. Depending on whether it is a two barrel, or four barrel, it really does not matter. The fuel filter will be a round paper filter, that fits in the carb. Two barrels were short, 4 barrels were longer, I mean the filter. There were even some that had a filter that looked liked compressed steel wool, gold colored. Unscrew the big nut on the inlet of the carb. You will need to unscrew the fuel line first. Follow the fuel line up from the pump to the carb. Remove the fuel line from the carb. With a 1 inch wrench remove the fitting from the carb that the line was fastened to. Remove filter and discard. Don,t loose spring behind filter. install new filter and you are in business. This is a very good and efficient filter.
